Diet & Lifestyle Tips To Keep Your Skin Young and Healthy

It’s easy to get caught up in the daily grind and forget about our health. There are so many things to worry about that we often lose sight of the bigger picture. However, our skin health is one of the most important factors to look after because it affects everything from our mood and energy levels, to our immune system. As well as using the products I recommend, here are some other ways to keep your skin healthy and glowing:

Diet & Lifestyle Tips To Keep Your Skin Young and Healthy

Food allergies

Gluten sensitivity and coeliac disease are two separate conditions, with different symptoms. Coeliac disease is an autoimmune disorder that causes inflammation of the small intestine. The only way to treat this is with a gluten-free diet. Gluten sensitivity, on the other hand, is a condition in which people may feel unwell after eating gluten-containing foods, but do not experience any gastrointestinal issues.

It’s not necessary to exclude gluten from your diet to avoid developing nutritional deficiencies. If you are already eating a well-balanced diet, then there is no need to cut out gluten because there is no reason for you to be deficient in these nutrients.

There are so many different foods that can cause skin conditions to worsen. This is why it’s important to work with a board-certified dermatologist when trying to eliminate a trigger food. Some common triggers are dairy, gluten, corn, soy, nuts, eggs, yeast, and shellfish.

Loving your skin from the inside out

I am on a mission to make your skin glow from the inside out. I want you to feel great every day, and I want you to look young for longer. So, I help you take care of your skin from the inside out by teaching you how to eat right and how to make sure you are getting enough sleep.

Antioxidants are compounds that protect cells from damage caused by free radicals. Free radicals are molecules that contain oxygen that can cause damage to cells. Antioxidants help to fight free radicals by neutralising them, and so play a key role in keeping us looking healthy and beautiful.

Vitamin C

I’m a firm believer in the power of eating well and taking care of yourself. As a busy mom, I have learned to make smart choices for myself, so I can feel my best.

Zinc

Zinc is an essential trace mineral and is needed for the maintenance of healthy skin. Zinc is found in nuts, seeds, poultry, shellfish and whole grains, many of which feed good gut bugs also!

Omega 3 and Omega 6

If you want to know what type of fish to eat, then check out my article on this subject. It’s easy to find out the right fish to eat by following a few simple steps.

Vitamin E

I like to call vitamin E “nature’s beauty cream” because it helps to protect our skin from the damaging effects of the sun. It’s an important part of the diet for anyone who spends time outdoors, and it’s easy to get a healthy dose of it from foods such as almonds, avocados, and hazelnuts.
